Maria Garcia Teutsch’s multi-media journey, What She Saw in the Loteria Cards, which she also directs and performs in, unpacks themes of death, love and memory in a multi-dimensional ritual tapping into of the power of imagery, icons (Ginsberg, Burroughs, Kerouac), myth, poetry and performance, and like a shaman would do, she works her magic synthesizing all these elements, creating an alchemy which leaves the viewer transformed.
